America250 Art Depicting Cedar City Contest
The Cedar City Arts Council (CCAC) invites local artists to create a poster for the America 250 City Art Poster Project. This project is to show the breadth of American cities and selected posters will be displayed at the U.S. Conference of Mayors in Washington, D.C. in January. As the Local Arts Agency, the CCAC is coordinating the Cedar City effort with cash prizes for three of the Cedar City entries. The top entrant will receive $500 with two runner up awards of $100 each. Deadline for submissions to CCAC is Oct. 15. Incorporate Cedar City and America250 into the design. You can submit your Cedar City Art Poster to both the national and local contacts
(1) For National contest send pdf directly to cedarcityartscouncil@gmail.com by Oct. 15. Minimum 300 DPI at 100% scale.One poster will be submitted from Cedar City. Include your name, youth (under 18) or adult (over 18), title of poster, and if any AI was used.

(2) For Local contest email your entry as a jpg to cedarcityartscouncil@gmail.com by October 15. (We prefer up to 20 mb to have enough resolution for a good print) Include your name, email, address, and phone number on entries.
Some of the entries may be included in the Art Exhibit for the Cedar Livestock and Heritage Festival on October 23 and 24 at the Diamond Z Arena.
Prizes of $500 for the top entry with two $100 runner up awards will be presented after judging.
The entries emailed to the Cedar City Arts Council will be posted on our CCAC blog with links on our social media. The three winning entries may be printed and utilized by Cedar City for promotion.
For the CCAC Prizes we are not allowing AI-Generated Artwork. All entries must be original work created by the entrant. Artwork generated in whole or in part by artificial intelligence image tools is not eligible. By submitting an entry, you confirm that the work is your own and was not produced using generative AI. Entries found to violate this rule will be disqualified at any stage, including after judging or award. The national contest does allow AI, but our Cedar City prize money will go only to non-AI art.
