Art and Photo Contest in Conjunction with the Cedar Livestock and Heritage Festival

Thanks to everyone who participated in the art and photography exhibit this year.  We especially appreciate the teachers and parents who encouraged their students to participate. Thanks to the Cedar City Arts Council Board members who helped with the exhibit, especially Randy Seely. Thanks to Rheana Gardner for helping with the photography category and marketing. Art is available for collection at the Southern Utah Museum of Art at 13 S. 300 West until Nov. 17.

Randy Seely, CCAC Education Director, and Donna Christensen with the Cedar Livestock & Heritage Festival.  CLHF provides the monetary awards and ribbons.  The Cedar City Arts Council coordinates, judges, and provides the exhibit.


Judging for the Art entries is by the CCAC Board and invited local artists coordinated by Randy Seely.

Kimberly Mowbray
Associate Director
School of Photography

Kimberly Mowbray is a fine art photographer based in Santa Rosa, California. She has an MFA degree in Photography from Academy of Art University. Kimberly works primarily in alternative processes. Through her photographs she explores the understanding of self and how that interacts with a given environment.

By using the photographic medium she is able to show the beauty and serenity in various locations and pair that with her own figure reacting and responding to the stillness of the landscape. Kimberly is an active member in Society for Photographic Education and exhibits her work nationally.
