Social on a "Golden Afternoon" October 10, 2020
The fall Arts Council Social was held in the sunken garden at Willow Glen on Bulldog Road. Dr. Virginia Stitt has served at SUU and the southern Utah musical community for many years. Linda Thompson and Eric Vogt of the Southern Utah Rock Club displayed some of the creations made possible through an Arts Council mini-grant. Social refreshments by JaNell Wood of the Palette Bakery, here with Jackie Riddle-Jackson. SUU students of Dr. Stitt's presented flute, oboe, and bassoon music: Anna Olsen presented flute music by Mozart Drew Holland, oboe, and the SUU quartet Chris Kuhlemeier, bassoon Mary Anne Andersen gave an update on the most recent mini-grant recipients and encouraged applications for the February cycle. Literary portion of the Social Dr. Todd Peterson gave us a preview of his upcoming book.
